Sector brief

European defense procurement is the most paperwork-heavy customer set we serve. It is also the most rewarding. Every unit ships into a chain of custody that starts at the framework award, runs through engineering review, weld procedure qualification, blast and paint validation, FARO 3D measurement, and ends in EXW handover with full sign-off documentation. We are cleared as a NATO supplier under AQAP 2110, hold NSPA CAGE 4094M, and operate under the Slovak Defense Trade License with Military Aviation Vendor Approval.

The ARMADA framework with the Slovak MoD is our reference deployment. Awarded in July 2025 as framework agreement č. 2025/511 with an indicative value of €16.22M for the 2025-2028 cycle, the programme has delivered 212+ container units across three operational sites with two follow-on orders already signed for 2026.

Compliance and procurement path

  • AQAP 2110:2017 NATO quality assurance, audited.
  • NSPA CAGE 4094M (registered September 2025).
  • Slovak Defense Trade License.
  • Slovak Military Aviation Vendor Approval.
  • EN 1090-1 EXC2 execution.
  • ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 3834-2.
  • Welding to EN ISO 9606 (welder qualification, MAG 135).

For tenders run through the Slovak NEN platform, EDA, or national MoD portals, we respond with the full documentation package: WPS / PQR sheets, material certificates per EN 10204 3.1, paint thickness reports, FARO geometric inspection records, and a per-unit handover dossier. We hold weld procedure qualifications and material traceability ready for audit at the request of the prime contractor or the procurement office.

Unit class registered against NSPA CAGE 4094M, eligible for cross-border MoD orders under standard NATO procurement vocabulary.

Typical container configurations

  • Storage and transport: ISO 1CC stackable in RAL 7016 or buyer-specified livery; reinforced floor for heavy ordnance; sealed roof; vented or unvented per use case.
  • Accommodation and command posts: PIR sandwich envelope, RAL exterior, internal split into briefing room and signals room, AC unit, electrical distribution to PN-HD 60364.
  • Sanitary and field support: WC, shower, laundry, kitchen modules with septic and water tank options.
  • Special purpose: training modules (LION partnership), fuel containers, REI 30 fire-rated builds, dog kennel programmes.

Engagement model

Three of our four engagement models apply to defense:

  1. Framework / call-off. Multi-year framework with periodic call-offs at agreed unit pricing. This is how the Slovak MoD programme is structured.
  2. Custom build to spec. Your engineering drawings, our review and production. Most B2G work that is not on a framework runs this way.
  3. Subcontract under prime. European steel and integration partner under a NATO prime. EN 1090 EXC2 fabrication, paint, assembly to your QA.

Lead times

  • Framework call-off: as agreed in the framework. Pricing locked, slot held against the production calendar.
  • Custom build to spec: 10 to 16 weeks from engineering sign-off.
  • Hot-dip galvanizing or extended fire-rating treatment adds 1 to 2 weeks.

FAQ

Is NSPA CAGE 4094M a current registration? Yes. Registered September 2025. The code identifies our entity as a NATO-eligible supplier and is required for cross-border MoD procurements run through NATO catalogues.

Can you act as a prime contractor or only as a subcontractor? Both. We hold prime status on the Slovak MoD framework. For programmes outside Slovakia where a local prime is preferred, we deliver under the prime's QA chain. AQAP 2110 governs the production process in either case.

What documentation ships with each unit? Per-unit dossier: WPS / PQR sheet for the relevant joints, EN 10204 3.1 material certificate, paint thickness report, FARO geometric inspection record, CSC plate (where applicable), warranty terms, multilingual operator manual. Programme-level dossiers add weld procedure qualification records and material traceability per the framework's audit requirements.

Do you handle classified projects? The Slovak Defense Trade License and AQAP 2110 cover the standard chain. Specific classifications are negotiated case-by-case with the contracting authority and the relevant export-control body.

What is the lead time to onboard a new MoD as a buyer? Typically 4 to 6 weeks from first contact to a fixed quote on a custom build, assuming the buyer's procurement office can accept AQAP 2110 and EN 1090 EXC2 documentation as-is. Onboarding into a NATO catalogue takes longer and is handled through NSPA.
