Who we are

This website is operated by TANAX TRUCKS a. s. (trading as Tanax Containers), IČO 36392171, with its registered office at Červeňova 28, 811 03 Bratislava, Slovakia. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

For any question about this policy or your personal data, write to [email protected] or call +421 2 5935 5400.

Data we collect

We collect personal data only where you provide it directly, plus limited technical data generated by your visit.

  • Enquiry and quote requests: name, company, email address, phone number, and the details of your request, submitted through the contact and request-offer forms.
  • Site usage: anonymous, aggregate page and product-view events sent to our own analytics endpoint. These events carry the page you viewed and a daily-rotating, salted identifier generated on our server; they are not linked to your name and are not stored in a cookie or in your browser's local storage.
  • Cookie preference: a single first-party cookie (tanax_consent) that records the choice you make in the cookie banner.

Why we process it, and the legal basis

Enquiries and quote requests: to answer your question and prepare an offer, which is either a pre-contractual step or the performance of a contract at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Site analytics: to understand which pages and products are useful, on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and improving the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because these events are cookieless and cannot identify you individually, they do not depend on the cookie banner.

Cookie preference: to remember your choice, which is necessary to provide the functionality you requested (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR / storage strictly necessary under the ePrivacy rules).

How long we keep it

Enquiry and quote data is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and, where it leads to a contract, for the duration of that business relationship plus the statutory retention period that applies to accounting and commercial records under Slovak law. Aggregate analytics events are kept in hashed, non-identifying form for a limited operational period. The consent cookie expires automatically after 180 days.

Who receives it

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for third-party marketing. Data may be processed by service providers acting on our instructions — hosting, email delivery and infrastructure providers — under contracts that require them to protect it and process it only for the purposes we specify. We do not use third-party advertising or social-media tracking pixels on this site.

International transfers

Our infrastructure and service providers are based in the European Union / European Economic Area. If a provider outside the EEA is ever engaged, we will only do so with the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw any consent you have given at any time without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. If you believe your data has been processed unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Slovak Office for Personal Data Protection (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov SR), Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, Slovakia — dataprotection.gov.sk.

Cookies

This policy covers personal data generally. For a full account of what our cookie banner controls, see our Cookie Policy.
