What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a website can ask your browser to store. This page lists every cookie we set ourselves and explains how the other categories offered in our cookie banner are actually used.

The cookie we set

tanax_consent — first-party, set only after you make a choice in the cookie banner (accept, reject or customise). It stores which categories you agreed to, so we don't ask again, and it expires automatically after 180 days. This cookie is strictly necessary: without it, the banner would reopen on every page.

Analytics: cookieless by design

We measure page and product views with our own first-party analytics, sent directly to our servers. It does not set a cookie and does not write anything to your browser's local storage: each event is tied to a salted identifier we compute on the server, which rotates daily and cannot be linked back to you individually. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, this analytics does not fall under the ePrivacy consent requirement for cookies, and it runs independently of the analytics toggle in the banner.

Marketing and personalisation

Our cookie banner also offers "marketing" and "personalisation" categories as controls for future use. At present this website does not set any marketing or personalisation cookies and does not run any third-party advertising or social-media tracking pixels.

Cookies set by our infrastructure

Our hosting and network-security providers may set their own strictly necessary cookies to keep the site available and to protect it from abuse, for example distinguishing a real visitor from automated traffic. These are not used to track you across other websites.

Managing your choice

Clear the tanax_consent cookie, or clear your browser's cookies for this site, to see the banner again and change your choice. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings, though this may affect how some pages behave.
