Envelope and security of the data center module
The envelope is what the IT never notices: fire from outside held for 60 minutes, a burglar held at RC3, salt air held for decades, and a floor that carries the racks and keeps a leak inside.

EI 60 walls, roof and floor
The module is an EI 60 enclosure on every face: walls, roof and floor. The panels are A1 non-combustible mineral wool sandwich panels, so the envelope itself adds no fuel and the fire-rated partition between the IT room and the technical room is the same class as the outside.
RC3 cladding and doors
The external trapezoidal cladding is engineered to RC3 burglar resistance per EN 1627, and the personnel doors are EI 60 / RC3 with anti-panic hardware, prepared for access control. On an ISO module the cargo doors stay for equipment access; on a wide-body module equipment enters through a dedicated opening.
A floor that is also a tray
The floor is a seal-welded steel deck rated up to 2,000 kg/m², locally reinforced under the racks and the battery cabinets, with an ESD conductive finish and a floor cable channel. Seal-welded means a coolant or condensate leak stays inside the module.
Corrosion class for the site
ISO 12944 up to C5 (marine) with durability High. For coastal and island sites the fasteners are stainless A4 and the seals EPDM. The roof is sloped for drainage and snow load.
Penetrations you can seal
Every cable enters through sealed multi-cable transit frames, with power and telecom entries separated. Refrigerant and condensate lines enter through their own sealed penetrations, so the room stays tight for the gas suppression.
The base
A raised steel installation frame with anti-vibration supports and levelling feet, plus entrance stairs and a platform at the personnel door. The module stands level on a pad, not on the pad.

Questions procurement asks
Is EI 60 the fire resistance of the whole module?
Yes. Walls, roof and floor are EI 60, and the partition between the IT room and the technical room is EI 60 with an EI 60 door.
What does RC3 mean in practice?
RC3 per EN 1627 is the burglar resistance class of the cladding and the personnel doors: a resistance level a buyer can write into a tender and a laboratory can verify.
Can the module stand at the sea?
The coating system reaches ISO 12944 C5 (marine) at durability High, and coastal sites get stainless A4 fasteners and EPDM seals.
Send the rack layout. The module is engineered around it.
Rack count, width, depth and the density per rack set the room, the power architecture and the cooling. The specification sheet comes with the reply.
