The brief
A resort and leisure group in Central Europe needed insulated storage and service units at two of its sites, delivered before the summer season opened. One in a dark anthracite finish for a mountain location, one in white for a water park, both fitted with stainless shelving and both required to hold temperature through a full year of alpine weather.
What was built
Scope, line by line
- 6,055 × 2,435 mm external footprint, 2,500 mm internal clear height
- 100 mm mineral wool in the walls, 140 mm in the roof, 100 mm in the floor
- Stainless steel shelving to the customer's layout
- CSC plate retained, hard-wearing floor finish
- Two colourways, one per site
- EXW Bánovce with transport quoted separately
Engineering decisions
What cost money, changed the design, or both
- 01
Insulation specified by element, not as a single number.
140 mm in the roof against 100 mm in the walls, because the roof is the surface that takes the solar gain in summer and the snow load in winter. A single "insulated" claim hides that distinction and it is the one that matters on a mountain.
- 02
Stainless shelving, not painted steel.
These are service units in a wet leisure environment. Stainless racking costs more and does not need replacing when the paint goes.
- 03
Priced EXW with transport separated and visible.
On a two-unit order to two different sites, bundling transport into the unit price hides the real cost of the second site. Separating it let the customer make their own delivery decision.

Delivery
How it got there and got accepted
Two units, delivered ahead of a season opening, with an offer validity window that matched the customer's own budget cycle rather than a standard 30 days.
Outcome
What was delivered, what it proved
Two sites equipped for the season, and a working relationship with a multi-site resort operator that has since generated hotel, bar and accommodation enquiries.
