The brief
Brief
This programme extends the Slovak Police training footprint with a dedicated container-based facility. Tanax delivered the training modules under a single scope that covered architectural design, transport to site, assembly, electrical installation, HVAC and structured prep for camera systems. The build is co-financed under a European Union funding instrument that backs Member State investment in law enforcement training, equipment and ICT.
The site is an established training centre of gravity for the Slovak Police. Placing a modular block alongside the existing campus shortens the loop between trainee throughput and reusable practice space. The configuration was sized to drop into the available footprint without disturbing the active site, and to be re-trimmed if the training profile shifts in later years.
Scope of delivery
Scope
- 01Architectural design coordinated with the client's site brief and the existing campus geometry.
- 02Engineering review and shop drawings, with customer sign-off gate before steel was cut.
- 03Surface preparation to Sa 2.5 per EN ISO 8501, followed by two-coat paint to C3 corrosivity per EN ISO 12944.
- 04Transport by CMR to the site and on-site assembly into the final block layout.
- 05Electrical installation to PN-HD 60364 low-voltage, distribution boards, sockets, lighting and external cable entries.
- 06HVAC fit, including ducting paths sized for the room programme and mounted units per the design.
- 07Camera prep, structured cabling pathways and fixing points for downstream surveillance and recording integration.
- 08Per-unit handover dossier with material certificates, weld documentation, paint thickness records and electrical test reports.
- 09Fabrication of the modules on the Bánovce line. EN ISO 3834-2 production-level welding, feeding the EN 1090-1 EXC2 chain.
Specification
Specification
Training modules, each a hot-rolled steel frame to EXC2 with PIR sandwich panel envelope. External dimensions match the Tanax Office and Living family at 6058 × 2438 × 2800 mm, internal height 2500 mm. Floors run on hot-rolled cross members with marine plywood, finished for the training duty cycle. Roof and walls in PIR sandwich for thermal and acoustic separation between training rooms.
Welding qualification: MAG 135 to EN ISO 9606. Robotic welding handled by 2× Daihen FD-V8L on a 14 m track and a Daihen FD-B6L 6-axis cell. Manual joints by Kemppi MIG / MAG. CNC laser cutting on TRUMPF TruLaser 3040 and plasma cutting feed the line. FARO Arm Prime 10 geometric inspection at QA gate, before sandblasting and paint.
Electrical distribution to PN-HD 60364, with sub-circuits routed per the room programme. HVAC components selected against the design heat loads. Camera and data pathways were installed as conduits and trays during fit-out, with the surveillance and recording stack integrated by the client's downstream contractor.
In depth
Outcome
The training modules were delivered, assembled and commissioned on site, ready for the training programme they were designed to support. The block sits inside the active campus without disturbing the surrounding work. Electrical, HVAC and camera prep handed over as a single coordinated package, with the per-unit dossier covering material, welding and paint traceability.
The project is the anchor reference for the Tanax Police and Training Facilities sector. Alongside Tanax's defense and fire and rescue work, it forms an operational pillar of the company's public-sector portfolio, and the proof point for fitted training and command modules co-financed by EU instruments.
