The brief
Brief
This is a Czech government civil-protection procurement for emergency accommodation units. Tanax Containers submitted its bid for an accommodation package built to the contracting authority's specification. The end use is shelter capacity that civil protection can deploy when regional fire and rescue operations centres declare a state of danger, a state of emergency, or any of the Czech crisis states. The bid is currently in evaluation. This page documents the technical proposal Tanax put on the table, not a completed delivery.
Scope of delivery
Scope of the bid
Internal fit-out priced for short-notice accommodation duty
electrical install to PN-HD 60364, lighting, heating, sockets, doors and windows per buyer's drawing set.
- Engineering review of the contracting authority's specification, with deviations logged against the published technical annex.
- Material procurement under EN 10204 3.1 traceability for the structural steel.
- Fabrication on the Bánovce line under EN ISO 3834-2 production-level qualification, feeding the EN 1090-1 EXC2 chain.
- PIR sandwich roof and wall panels with fire-resistance rating to EI30, allowing dense clustering on a site without one unit's incident spreading to the next inside 30 minutes.
- Frame and structural steel finished in RAL 5010 (gentian blue), the colour reference set by the buyer for the lot.
- Sandblasting to ISO 8501 Sa 2.5 followed by two-coat paint to C3 corrosivity per EN ISO 12944.
- FARO Arm Prime 10 geometric inspection at QA gate.
- Transport quoted DAP under CMR to the receiving site in the Czech Republic, with the optional DDP variant priced as an alternate.
Specification
Specification
External dimensions follow the contracting authority's 6058 x 2438 x 2800 mm baseline, comparable to the office and living family already in serial production at Bánovce. The frame is hot-rolled steel welded to EXC2 with ISO 1CC corner castings retained so units can be lifted and trucked under standard intermodal kit. Roof and walls are PIR sandwich panels rated EI30. Floor is marine plywood on a hot-rolled cross-member assembly. Doors are EPDM-sealed steel with double cam locks; windows are double-glazed with internal roller shutters where the buyer's drawing requires them.
Welding is MAG 135 to EN ISO 9606. Robotic welding is handled by 2x Daihen FD-V8L on a 14 m track and a Daihen FD-B6L 6-axis. Manual joints are handled by Kemppi MIG / MAG. Plate is prepared on the TRUMPF TruLaser 3040 (3.2 kW, max 20 mm) and the plasma table (3 to 15 mm).
The internal climate package is sized for emergency-accommodation duty rather than long-stay housing: electric convector heating, low-voltage lighting on a residual-current device, single 16 A circuit per cell, an optional 2.6 kW AC unit identical to the one Tanax fits to its staff-accommodation cells. The PIR shell holds the heat that the convector puts in, which is the right physics for a unit that may sit cold for months between activations and then be brought up to temperature inside an hour.

Why this configuration
EI30 fire resistance is the load-bearing technical decision in the bid. Civil protection accommodation is typically pitched in dense clusters on hardstanding or in a school playground, and the buyer's specification reflects standard Czech fire and rescue practice of separating cells with a fire interval that the panel itself satisfies, rather than relying on spacing alone. PIR sandwich at the right core thickness clears EI30 without adding a separate gypsum lining, which keeps the internal floor area usable and the fit-out time short.
RAL 5010 was prescribed by the buyer. It reads cleanly under both daylight and the orange lighting masts that rescue units bring to night deployments, and it is the same blue used across a wider fleet of Czech civil-protection assets.

Outcome to date
Bid submitted, evaluation ongoing at the time of writing. Award, if it lands, would be a dedicated Czech civil-protection delivery in the Tanax portfolio, alongside the existing Czech accommodation work and the wider Czech export pipeline. The proposal carries the same QA dossier and traceability the line already runs for Slovak government defense work under a multi-year framework, so the buyer's QA review can be served from production records that are already on the shelf.
